A durable academic website should not be a reverse-chronological activity log. The primary unit is a research question. Publications, software, datasets, and notes are artifacts connected to that question.
This structure makes the site useful even when posting is infrequent: mature pages can be revised as the underlying research develops.
Content model
Research defines the problem space. Publications record formal outputs. Tools expose reusable software. Notes capture original technical reasoning. Reading records understanding of external literature.
Maintenance rule
Create a permanent page only when the content is likely to remain useful after the immediate task is finished.
